JON LANDVIK
As a retired geologist, I have been using the camera in a professional setting for decades, aiming at objectively document the landscape, the rocks and sediments for scientific purposes.
These days, I try to put the strict documentary style aside, and focus on communicating the mood and beauty of the world around, us as we see it, feel it and smell it. Capturing places and moments I do not want to let go.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Photos before ca 2003 derive from 35 mm slides, scanned with an Epson Perfection V850 Pro using SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software, and post processed in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Topaz Photo AI and Topaz DeNoise AI have been used to remove film grains and improve the sharpness of most of the scanned images.
My photos from the years 2003-2012 were characterized by a continuous transition to better, but never good enough, digital cameras. I think of it as "The lost decade". Satisfactory image quality was again reached in 2012 with the innovative Olympus OM-D E-M5, later succeeded by an Olympus OM-D M1 Mk II and the OM System OM-1 with Olympus Pro lenses. The compactness, image quality and advanced features of this system suits me well.
